Superconducting hot electron bolometers HEBs are designed to detect and register the electromagnetic radiation pulses in the frequency range from 0.3 THz to 150 THz.

The detector can be equipped by 3-4 Kelvin closed cycle refrigerator system instead of LHe cryostat.
Closed cycle refrigerator system must fit the following requirements:
1. Refrigeration Capacity – not less than 0.4 W @ 4.2 K
2. Sample volume dimensions – diameter 100 mm and 50 mm height
3. Optical window diameter – not less than 15 mm
